Je'lon Tyree Davis Obituary (2000 - 2024)

On June 5, 2024, the world lost a hero, Senior Airman Je'Lon T. Davis, who passed away after valiantly battling cancer, on his 24th birthday. Born in Alexandria, Louisiana, on June 5, 2000, Je'lon's life was marked by his commitment to excellence and his unwavering dedication to his family and country. From a young age, Je'Lon displayed a strong sense of duty and compassion. He enlisted in the United States Air Force on October 2, 2018, setting an example of bravery and determination, quickly rising to the rank of Senior Airman. His service was characterized by his leadership and the profound respect he earned from his comrades. Je'Lon's life was profoundly impacted by his family. He was a loving partner to Amber and bonus parent to Elijah, a devoted son to Emile Hurts III and Wanda Davis, and a guiding light to his siblings Tre'Vyon Davis, Ta'Nia Davis, Rashad and Ahmad Hurts. Bonus mother Sonjii Hurts and bonus sister Milahni who cherished him deeply. Though his life was brief, Je'Lon's impact was immeasurable. Preceded in death by his grandmother Rita Hurts and uncle Fabian Hurts, he is survived by his immediate family, who will carry forward his legacy of love, strength, and perseverance. The community will honor Je'Lon's life and contributions with a visitation at 9:00 PM on June 17, 2024, at Zion Hill Church, 312 Hunter Street, Pineville, Louisiana. His service will follow at 10:00 AM the next morning, and he will be laid to rest with full military honors at the Central Louisiana Veterans Cemetery in Leesville, Louisiana. Je'Lon T. Davis' life, though cut short, serves as a powerful testament to the values of courage, dedication, and familial love.
