Reshunda Shanae Matthews Obituary (1979 - 2022)

Reshunda Shanae Matthews (Shun) was born August 22, 1979, to the union of Arthur and Curtisteen Matthews. She went home to be with the Lord on February 8, 2022. Reshunda was educated in the Rapides Parish School System and graduated from Alexandria Senior High School in 1998. Upon graduation she attended the University of Southwestern Louisiana. She was baptized at the age of nine by the late Rev. Sims E. James, Pastor of Greater New Hope Missionary Baptist Church in Alexandria, Louisiana. Later she joined Zion Hill Family Church pastored by Reverend Dr. Joshua Joy Dara, Sr. in Pineville, Louisiana. Reshunda was preceded in death by her father, Arthur Matthews, Sr. She leaves to mourn her mother, Curtisteen Matthews (Alexandria, Louisiana), one sister, Arthea Chenel Matthews (Little Elm, Texas), brother Kevin Matthews (Alexandria, Louisiana), one niece Kennedy Danelle Matthews (McKinney, Texas), special friend, Cedric Johnson and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives, and friends.
