Shermar D Nash Obituary (2002

Shermar DeLyncy Nash was born June 29, 2002, in Alexandria, LA at Rapides Women's and Children's Hospital to Sherman Nash and Denise Hayward. He was a member of Zion Hill Church and baptized May 16, 2012 by Dr. Joshua J. Dara, Sr. Shermar graduated from Tioga High School on May 15, 2020. He was a key player of the Tioga Indians basketball team, where he wore the team jersey #3. He also served as the team's barber making sure none of the players were without a good hair cut before the game. Throughout, his life he played and participated in various sports from basketball, football, and baseball. He was smart, loving, charismatic, with a smile that captured the heart. Shermar will truly be missed by all. Preceded in death by his Great-Grandparents Irene Dove Gullette, Herbert Gullette, Sr. Mary Ford Hayward, Robert Hayward, Sr. Minnie Bell Davis, Huey P. Davis and Ruby Lee Nash. His memories, grace, and unconditional love will be forever treasured by his parents: Denise Hayward and Sherman Nash; Sibling: Shervon Nash; Grandparents: Ida and Differt Hayward, Sr. Margaret Narcisse (Curlis) and Willie Davis, Sr (Linda), Sherman Nash, Sr; Aunt/Godmother: Miranda Horn (Alton), Vanessa Lewis (Wendell), Shermane Reed (Chavis); Uncles: Differt Hayward, Jr, Darnyl Hayward, Sr (Darnetta) and Willie Davis, Jr (Meghan). A host of relatives and friends who will forever cherish him in their heart. A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, January 15, 2021, at Zion Hill Church. Public viewing and visitation will begin at 9 am with service beginning at 11 am. Immediately following the service, he will be taken to Garden of Memories Cemetery for final committal rights.
