Daphne Louise Harris Obituary (1978

Daphne was born to Miss Donna Kay Simmons Tennie and Mr. Clifton Lee Sr. in Pineville, Louisiana and stepfather who raised her, Roderick Glenn Tennie two preceded her in death. Daphne accepted Christ at an early age. She was baptized by Rev. Gregory Tennie of the Second Nazarene Baptist Church where she served until her passing. Daphne had a personality like no other. She loved to live life to the fullest with her husband, family, and friends. She had a humble spirit and would give you the shirt off her back. She worked nearly 27 years in the medical field up until her death. She is preceded in death by her father, Clifton Lee, Sr and her stepfather Roderick Tennie. She leaves to cherish her loving memories: her husband, Willie Harris, Jr.; mother, Donna Simmons Tennie; grandmother Lillie Sewell Simmons; 1 son Shawn Brown, Jr.; 2 sisters, Gloria Hartwell (Terrence), LaKeytria Britt (Percell, Jr.); 3 brothers, Clifton Simmons, Kerry Simmons (Selena), and Therron Simmons; 2 bonus kids, Ja'Kyra McCullin and Troy'vez Jones; special friends, Shannon.
