Dorothy Lee Williams Allen Stewart

We gather to celebrate the life of Mother Dorothy Lee Williams Allen Stewart, known affectionately as "Mama," "Sugar Mama," and "Dot," who graced this world with her resilient and spirited soul on October 4, 1932, in Bayou Rapides, Louisiana. A loving, humble, and faithful servant of the Lord, Dorothy's life was a testament to the scripture, "Let all that you do be done in love" (1 Corinthians 16:14).

Mother Dorothy was a devoted employee at Central State Hospital from 1968 to 1993, where she served as a Psychiatric Aide II. Her dedication to others extended beyond her professional life. She was an avid student of God's Word, a Sunday School teacher, and a prayer warrior, always available to intercede for those in need. Her generosity knew no bounds; she gave wholeheartedly to missions, St. Jude, and anyone she felt was in need.

Known for her love of fishing and her culinary prowess, Dorothy's salmon & rice, broccoli & cheese casserole, and cornbread dressing were beloved by all who had the privilege of joining her at the table. Her love for people was palpable, and her home was always filled with warmth, laughter, and the aroma of delicious food.

As we remember her life, we invite you to join us for a public viewing on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at 10:00 am at the Calvary Tabernacle of Alexandria, located at 4510 3rd Street, Alexandria, Louisiana, 71302. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 am at the same venue. Final Committal Rites will take place at Garden of Memories, located at 2733 Eddie Williams Avenue, Alexandria, Louisiana, 71302. Professional services are under the direction of Miller & Hill "The Funeral Directors".
