Wiletha Bonnie Collins Obituary (1958

Sister Wiletha Collins, affectionately known as Bonnie, was born to James Collins, Sr. and Bertha Mae Whitlow Collins on April 11, 1958, in Detroit, Michigan. Bonnie departed from this life on Friday, November 13, 2020, at Christus St. Francis Cabrini Hospital surrounded by loved ones. As a child, Bonnie professed her faith in Christ and continued to walk in faith throughout her adult years. She professed her faith as a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church. It was her custom on Friday mornings to send a Bible verse or uplifting spiritual message to friends and family through text or email. For the past 30 years, Bonnie was proud to work at the Ninth Judicial Court of Rapides Parish for the as the minute clerk to the Honorable George C. Metoyer, Jr. or "my judge" as she called him. She was a member of the 1976 graduating class of Pineville High School and received an associate's degree in Business Information Systems from Delta community College. Bonnie was preceded in death by her father, James Collins, Sr.; her mother, Bertha Whitlow Collins, grandparents, Andrew Whitlow, Jr., Louise Trotter, Sip Collins, and Tabitha Collins; uncles, Andrew Whitlow, Jr., Willie Whitlow; one aunt, Patricia Ann Whitlow. She leaves to cherish her life, three sons, her "babies," Louis Bolden, Jr. (Mimi), Christopher Bolden (Laurie), Anthony Collins (Krista), all of Pineville, LA; brothers, Kenyatta Collins of Pineville, LA; James, Collins, Jr. (Ruby) of Houston, TX; Richard Collins (fiance, Nicole) of Lafayette; sister, Tabitha Roberts (Keith) of Pineville, LA; maternal grandmother, Ida Whitlow of Tuskegee, AL; uncle, Malcolm Whitlow of Tuskegee, AL; seven grandchildren, Emma Robinson of Houston, Laurel Dickinson, Riley Bolden, Sebastian Bolden, Khalib Gulley-Collins, Julia Collins, Kinley Dempsey, all of Pineville, LA and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friend and the Zion Hill church family.
